(New Service) uConnect Teams

Microsoft Teams is an enterprise communications platform, part of Microsoft Office 365.

Teams connects people everywhere from anywhere, on Windows 10 and other operating systems including mobile devices, as part of their everyday productivity experience. It provides a consistent client experience for instant messaging, voice, video and meetings. Teams can be used anywhere in the world where an internet connection is available.

uConnect provides this service to all UC Davis faculty, staff and students free of charge.  All users with an active Kerberos account are enabled for the service regardless if they are using DavisMail or another email service on campus.

Features/Benefits: 

Teams Chat: Teams provides instant messaging (IM) and presence helping your users find and communicate with one another efficiently and effectively.

Teams Audio/Video Call: Teams allows users to calls each other using VOIP with no need for a physical phone line. Teams mobile clients can place audio/video calls using Wi-Fi or cellular data.

Teams Screen Share: Screen share allow users to present their desktop screen(s) in real time to other Teams users.

Teams Mobile Clients: Teams Mobile Clients are available for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.
