The Jabber Client softphone feature will let you do several tasks from your computer and/or smartphone, such as send instant messages, share your availability via your Outlook calendar, share your desktop, make calls from your computer using a headset, manage your voicemails, and more.

How to install and configure Jabber for mobile devices

To install the Jabber Client for your mobile device, you MUST have your account configured. To submit a request to configure your account, contact your ATR.

CISCO Jabber Client for iPhone 

  1. Go to the App Store on your iPhone
  2. Search for the CISCO Jabber app
  3. Download and Install the app, but DO NOT open the app.
  4. ​Using your iPhone, open a web browser and click on this link
  5. Now you can open the Jabber app with KerberosID@ucdavis.edu / Kerberos Passphrase

​CISCO Jabber Client for Android 

  1. Go to the Play Store on your Android device
  2. Search for the CISCO Jabber app
  3. Download and Install the app, but DO NOT open the app
