IET provides firewall services to help secure department networks and to ensure compliance with campus cyber safety policies. The Turnkey Firewall service includes management of theentire firewall implementation and maintenance including the acquisition, installation, configuration, and programming. When equipment reaches the end of its life cycle, replacement costs are included.
As new products and upgrades are released, IET Professional Services will renegotiate, as needed, the campus contract with the firewall vendor, and new products may be incorporated into the suite of campus-supported firewall options. Campus units will be informed of these new options and turnkey service subscribers will have the option of replacing their firewall equipment with equivalent new products at no additional charge at the end of the equipment replacement cycle.

Firewall administrators are available during regular business hours - Monday - Friday - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For after hours assistance, please contact Data Center operations at 752-1566 and an administrator will be paged.
Service provided during normal business hours is billed at $95/hour. Service provided before or after normal business hours is billed at $190/hour.
The Turnkey Service consists of a fixed price labor component and an acquisition price for the hardware, hardware reserves and maintenance labor. Monthly and annual billing options are available.
