UC Davis offers an optional and complimentary service that will forward your mailid @ucdavis.edu email to an external email address of your choice (e.g., user @yahoo.com) after you have left the University. This forwarding service will apply only to new incoming email sent to your mailid @ucdavis.edu address after you register.
Email forwarding allows you to keep your @ucdavis.edu email address after you have left the University.
After you have left the University, you will receive an email message with instructions on how to sign-up for Email Forwarding for Life.
Graduating students* and faculty who have retired or separated from UC Davis can register an external email address within six months from when you receive notification that your UC Davis mailbox will be deleted.
If you have separated from UC Davis and currently receive your mailid @ucdavis.edu email:
At an external ISP address (e.g., user @yahoo.com), you are already registered for the email forwarding service and will be given the opportunity to renew in two years.
Through a non-campus email server, you are already registered for the email forwarding service and will be given the opportunity to renew in two years.
*Students using a DavisMail account do not need to use this forwarding service. After graduating, students will retain free access to DavisMail.
*If you have an affiliation with the UC Davis Health System, you are not eligible for this service.
