IET Professional Services provides end user device support to staff and faculty for desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and mobile devices.

Desktop and Device Support for Departments

  • Device Setup: Deployment and configuration of new desktop, laptop, tablet, printer, and mobile devices
  • Moves and Transfers: Assistance with disconnecting and reconnecting equipment for minor office moves
  • Staff Onboarding: Deliver requested computing devices and IT resources, ready and configured so new staff can be productive on the first day of employment
  • General Troubleshooting: Perform troubleshooting of IT issues remotely and in person
  • Software and Hardware: Install and upgrade software applications, patches, and hardware upgrades and accessories
  • Printing: Print queue management and troubleshooting of printer-related issues
  • Procurement: Pass-through purchase and management of standard computing equipment, software licenses, and other devices
  • Asset Management: Tracking locations and assignments of computing devices and software licenses
  • Active Directory: Administration and management of departmental objects and policies within the campus Active Directory environment
  • Networking: Troubleshooting wired and wireless connectivity issues for campus networks
  • Fileserver Management: Administration and maintenance of network fileshare permissions
  • AV Equipment Support: Basic troubleshooting of AV equipment such as projectors, displays, and control panels.
