Professional Services are typically consultative in nature.

Audio/Visual Repair

Repair audio/visual systems (microphones, speakers, projectors, monitors, controls) for office space, conference rooms, and other departmental spaces.

Audio/Visual Request

Design, upgrade, departmental audio visual systems for room(s), office, conference space with audio, video, and/or full systems.

Business Analysis

The IET Project Management Office offers a wide range of IT Business Analysis support services to campus units, ranging from processes, tools and best practices; to limited term consultations; to full scale, long-term business analysis engagements. Custom Telecommunications Service Order

Unique telecommunications requirements that need a technical review by staff to clearly define scope and solution for non-standard telecommunication work. For example, requesting AT&T services for an off-campus location is a custom service order.

Database Administration

IET Database Administration services provides installation, management, and support for databases and database based systems required by various software and vendor packages used throughout the University, as well as databases used by University Departments.

Database Administration provides a variety of administration services including: installation of database software, setup and configuration of database instances, database security, patching, tuning and performance analysis, troubleshooting, backups and disaster recovery planning. 

Desktop Support

IET Professional Services provides end user device support to staff and faculty for desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and mobile devices.

Gartner Research Service

Faculty, staff and students now have free access to Gartner research, white papers, webinars and more on an array of complex IT issues, emerging technologies, and industry trends. 

IT Express Service Desk

IT Express is the campus' computing services help desk, offering technical support and consulting services to UC Davis students, faculty, and staff. IT Express provides support for the latest Windows and Macintosh operating systems, email clients, web browsers, various software, and campus applications and services.

LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda)

LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com) offers online, video-based training on thousands of topics, including office software, data analysis, business, design, communication, programming, marketing and many more. 

The training ranges from beginner to advanced, and LinkedIn Learning provides "Learning Paths" to guide learners through a series of courses to go from absolute beginner to expert.

Project Management

The IET Project Management Office offers a wide range of IT Project Management support services to campus units, ranging from templates and best practices, to limited term consultations, to full scale, long-term project management engagements.
