GitHub

GitHub is a service provided under the auspices of the Administrative Application Development Initiative (AADI) and supported by the College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences, Development & Alumni Relations, and the Division of Social Sciences in the College of Letters & Sciences.

Mass Electronic Mailing (Bulk Email)

The Bulk Email system distributes campus mass emails (250 recipients +).

According to the Mass Electronic Messaging policy, all bulk email messages must be approved prior to being processed. The approving offices are as follows: Office of the Registrar for student mailings, Academic Senate for Faculty mailings, and the Office of Administration for staff mailings.

Slack

Slack is a cloud-based collaboration tool that allows teams to communicate in real-time via chat in public or private channels.

UC Davis has a campus-wide Slack "team" that is available to staff, faculty, and students.

uConnect

uConnect offers a set of Microsoft services for authentication, authorization, email, instant messaging, screen sharing and voice and video conferencing. The services are available to faculty, staff and students. uConnect hosts over 29,000 mailboxes in Exchange Online and allows logon services for all affiliates with campus computing accounts. Academic and administrative units may leverage uConnect's Active Directory for management of systems, users, and groups.

 

uConnect Active Directory

uConnect Active Directory is a central Microsoft Active Directory implementation for campus.  It allows campus departments to join desktops and servers to a shared Active Directory environment, realize the benefits of being within the same organization as other departments on campus, and utilize other uConnect services.

uConnect Electronic FAX (eFAX)

The uConnect Electronic Fax service is an electronic fax solution tied to the centralized campus Active Directory.  It allows departments to discontinue using fax machines, and send and receive faxes via email instead.
